excellent location, large rooms, clean bathrooms
Scaffolding obstructing the view!!! Tiny single room doesn't leave you much space to move around!!! An attached soap container in the shower is just plain annoying!!!

Very friendly and nice owner, great location (3 minutes walk from the Garibaldi Street), a historic building and good service. The cleanest and comfortable bed!

my room was both bright and impeccably clean with individual bathroom, a big window, for instance.

perfect central spot for exploring genoa's highlights
The hotel reminded me of a cozy house away from home, with friendly staff who were always eager to help, and its position made it super easy to walk to so many attractions like the beautiful Palazzo Bianco just a few steps away and the bustling Aquarium of Genoa that's about a 10-minute stroll from the hotel.

The location is great: about a couple of minutes from Garibaldi street. The man at the reception (who's actually the only person whom I saw) was extremely friendly and always ready to help. Very nice man!)
Single room was pretty basic: very small and with not very comfortable bed. I travelled in April, and it was +15-17 degrees outside but in the hotel it was very cold, I could never get warm even with the heater. Breakfast is served in the room cause there is no special place for that and it is only yogurt, 1 cake + tea or coffee

Hotel is very nicely located--close to all major places in Genoa, two steps from Garibaldi street. Hotel is in fact a set of rooms on the top floor of regular building. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly to us, helped with orientation and let us left our luggage (we arrived earlier than check in time, and departed much later).
Breakfast could be improved. We were provided at the evening with jogurt, orange juice and coffee tablets for coffee machine. Eatable, but not nice.

Totally just perfect stay on a value for money experience. Clean hotel, nicely decorated rooms, particularly good location right next to bus line. Location not far from Genova as well as the city centre. For tea or coffee visit Au Cafe Restaurant nearby.

I had a perfect three-night stay! The room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the city was simply delightful. Just a heads up, the room was a bit smaller than I expected, but the charm made up for it!

Good location, next to the Via Garibaldi and thus the old city. Just a bit further away from the train, since it is in between the two main stations (about 1,5 km if you're going by foot). Good WiFi connection, air-conditioning, all the basic things you need. All in all, a rather good place to stay, just a shame of the breakfast in particular (see below).
As opposed to most of the reviews here, the owner wasn't all that helpful. Upon our arrival we were basically just handed over the keys and lead into our room, that's it. Had to come back to ask the rest ourselves (internet, breakfast, check-out times etc), and had somewhat the impression that we were disturbing him. However, the next day, he was a lot more friendly (so maybe he just had a bad day). Furthermore, the breakfast was very poor: every person gets a small piece of cake, a bit of watery peach juice, a yoghurt you can't choose (unfortunately we both didn't like the coconut taste...) and coffee you can take from the espresso machine in the lobby - everything sealed and nothing fresh. Honestly, we'd prefer having no breakfast at all (or a voucher for a local bar, for instance!) than this... Taking all this into account, the price-quality ratio isn't all that fabulous.

Location.
The worst beds I have ever slept on, impossible to sleep and makes noise when you turn around during the night. The benches on the street are far better than their beds. Beds are the most basic and standard thing to provide to customers as people stay in hotels to sleep but they do not even provide acceptable conditions. All other furniture and facilities are old as well, bathroom paintings were falling down from the ceiling in room 5. It is not actually a hotel, it is an apartment located on the 6th floor on a building. I would definitely not suggest.
